211899 PENDANT EMERGENCY TOW-OFF, VULCAN WITH FURTHER DETAILS

Vulcan is Samson’s patented synthetic emergency tow-off pendant (ETOP). A core dependant, jacketed rope made of 100% Technora®, enhanced with Samson’s proprietary heat-resistant coating on the core. Samson’s proprietary Samthane coating on the jacket provides protection against abrasion, ingress of foreign material, and damaged caused by exposure to ultra violet light. Vulcan is 60 to 70% lighter than the wire rope it replaces and prior to heat exposure its new rope breaking strength meets or exceeds the industry standards. ETOPs are traditionally an application for steel wire rope. These fire wires have historically been the leading cause of mooring related injuries due to the weight of wire and dangerous fish-hooks. The risk of injury is reduced significantly with the use of Vulcan and allows for faster, easier handling. Vulcan is only available in orange. Diameter of Vulcan Rope will be determined by the DWT of the vessel. Please see the table below and select the rope size when ordering.
