330967 ASBESTOS SAFETY KIT

The asbestos safety kit is used by vessel’s crew to remove asbestos materials during operation/at sea. The kit is accompanied by an instruction how to use the PPE, the equipment including vacuum cleaner. The kit is usually part of an Asbestos Management Plan. In this Plan the locations of asbestos are indicated and preventive measures to avoid exposure to the asbestos fibres. The kit is not to be used for large scale asbestos removal works e.g. during docking. Each item in the kit is according to EU quality standard for asbestos removal, and approved by a certified company (such as Kiwa Oesterbaai) for Inventory of Hazardous Materials (DNV GL, Rina, Bureau Veritas, Lloyd’s Register).
